Instructions for assembling DiscoEasy200 - Page 9 - Wiring

Wiring space

We will now set up the control board and connect all the elements to it.

The prerequisites

  • 1 control board
  • 1 bag of cables
  • 1 bag of electronics
  • 3 screws M3x6 (there should be 1 left)
  • 1 flat screwdriver 3mm (not supplied)

Stage 1

Preparation

Raise the X axis to half height (it takes a little time).

Make sure that the 2 carriages move at the same time.

With the machine facing you, place the head to the right and the tray to the back.

Turn the machine upside down to access the bottom.

Place it on the rear side so that we have the same reference.

Step 2

Installation of the control card

Remove the board from the bag and remove the adapter connected to EXP1 & EXP2.

Place it with the connectors facing you diagonally, with the USB drive facing the crossbar facing backwards.

Tighten it with two M3x6 screws

Do not overtighten to avoid damaging the card.

Step 3

Wiring the X motor

We will start by connecting all the elements of the X axis.

Take the longest motor cable from the bag.

Connect it to the motor (no direction problems, there are coded pins).

Then move it to the left side mounting level behind the rear bar.

Pass through the plastic part as in the video.

Then pass between the bottom bar of the base and the grey plastic part.

Then connect it to the X_MOT connector.

Step 4

Connection of the X stop

Retrieve the cable from the X stop.

Route it through X's motor cable.

Then connect it to the X+ connector.

Connecting the head sensor

Retrieve the probe cable (the grey one).

Route it through the cables of the X motor and the stop.

Then connect it to the Y+ connector.

Step 6

Connecting the temperature sensor

Retrieve the probe cable (the white one).

Follow the cables already in place.

Then connect it to the A13 connector.

Step 7

Connecting the head cables

Dénudez tous les câbles avant de les brancher.

Retrieve the cables from the rear fan (the one that runs through the head on the side).

Locate them (we did it here with tape).

Then take all the remaining wires and make them follow the other cables.

Twist the end to make it easier to insert.

Start with the two big reds.

Use a flat screwdriver.

Connect the two red or brown wires to terminal block E0 (no direction between + and -).

Then take the fan cables not marked (front fan).

Connect the two wires to terminal block E1 (red on + and black on -).

Connect the last two wires marked on the FAN terminal block (red on + and black on -).

Step 8

Connection of the Y stop

Retrieve the cable from the Y stop (on the front side).

Then connect it to the X- connector.

Connecting the Y motor

Retrive the shortest motor cable.

Then connect it to the motor on the front side and then to the Y_MOT connector.

Step 10

Connecting the Z motors

Retrieve the dual motor cable.

Connect it to the Z motors by passing between the bottom bar and the plastic part.

Then connect it to the Z_MOT connector.

Step 11

Connecting the extruder motor

Retrieve the last motor cable.

Then connect it to the extruder motor (on the rear side) and then to the E_MOT connector.

Installation of the switch

Clip the switch on the front side (button 1 upwards on the front side).

Power supply connection (positive)

Retrieve the single power cable.

Connect it to the + of the board's power terminal block.

Then connect it to the connector of the switch (the lowest).

Cover it with the plastic protection.

If your power wires are black, please plug the black and white one on the positive terminal block of the board.

Step 14

Power supply connection (negative)

Retrieve the dual power cable with the power connector.

Strip the wire alone.

Connect it to the - of the board's power terminal block.

Then connect the other end to the switch connector.

Cover it with the plastic protection.

Push the power supply connector at an angle into the left rear plastic part provided for this purpose. Push on it to clip it in.

Tip: Present it at an angle, push it to the bottom and then push it down to engage it).

Step 15

Installing the SD Player

Retrieve the SD player in its bag.

Flat machine, install it in the cover on the left front side, pins up.

Flange it with an M3x6 screw.

Step 16

Connection of the SD ribbon cable

Take the SD player tablecloth.

Orient it, pink cord towards the front, connectors towards the bottom.

Run the tablecloth under the belt and connect it to the SD player.

Retrieve the adapter removed from the board in step 1.

Connect the tablecloth to it (there is a coding for the direction).

Place the adapter back on the board as on the video.

Be careful, make sure that the adapter is centered on the connector of the electronic board and that all pins are engaged.

Wiring: CHECK!
